"Venice may be desperate for funds to restore its crumbling architecture, but the city's mayor has drawn the line at a billboard displaying a nude photograph of actress Julianne Moore.
The advertisement, for luxury accessories brand Bulgari, shows the 49-year-old posing on a chaise longue with a handbag and two lion cubs. It had been due to adorn the Doge’s Palace, which overlooks St Mark’s Square and the city's lagoon.
